Jan, 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The World&#8217;s global food and water resources are insufficient now, today,&nbsp; and will only become increasing depleted over time.&nbsp; The demands for these life sustaining items are increasing, as the population continues to increase, while the supply is stagnant and decreasing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>World Population and Contraception<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make contraceptives and education for birth control available globally.&nbsp; Developing nations cannot provide food, safe water or shelter for their burgeoning populations.&nbsp; Providing birth control would give the world a break from the continuing population explosions without supportive resources.&nbsp; It would give the world a chance to evaluate humanitarian aid, global resources, future needs and resource balancing.&nbsp; It would decrease famines and needless deaths.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Catholic Church may be rethinking its position on birth control.&nbsp; In a WSJ article Dec 31, 2022 by Francis Rocca he discusses the Catholic \u201cHumanae Vitae\u201d, a prohibition of contraception as set out in St. Paul VI\u2019s 1968 encyclical.&nbsp; \u201cThe core of St. Paul Vi\u2019s argument in Humanae Vitae was based not on biology but on what he called \u201cthe inseparable connection, established by God, which man on his own initiative may not break, between the unitive significance and the procreative significance\u201d in sexual intercourse between spouses.&nbsp; In other words, every human life should be the result of an act of love, and no instance of sexual intercourse can be fully loving unless it is open to the potential for new life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two dozen Catholic theologians, philosophers and other scholars met in Rome in December 2022 for a three day conference organized to defend and explain the Humanae Vitae.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Welfare\/Public Assistance\/ NorPlant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When a person applies for public assistance\/ welfare\/ food stamps\/ housing assistance they should be advised they will be given a NorPlant insertion that prevents pregnancy for up to five years.&nbsp;
